One thing I’ve always believed is that when you work with animals (and humans for that matter!), your education should never really be “finished”.
I am trained in Pet First Aid (Advanced) also Crucial Commands in Puppy and Dog Behaviour, I have completed training in Implantation of Animals and Ultrasound Scanning in Canine.
We are constantly learning more about animal behaviour, welfare, development, training and the way our dogs experience the world. Continuing education allows us to keep up with current knowledge and research, challenge the way we’ve always done things, and make sure the decisions we make are based on the best information available, all things that are incredibly relevant to the work we do every day.
For me, continuing education isn’t about collecting certificates. It’s about becoming better at what I do, understanding our dogs on a deeper level and continually improving the way we raise, train and prepare our puppies for their future families.
Breeding beautiful puppies is only one part of the picture. Temperament, emotional wellbeing, early learning and giving puppies the best possible foundations for life matter just as much.
There is always more to learn and I think that’s one of the most exciting parts of working with dogs.
